Easter 2022 & News Update

16th April 2022

To all our church family, locally in the Illawarra, elsewhere and online in this nation and beyond,

Our thoughts and prayers are with you this Easter, as you take these few days (in particular), to celebrate the life, death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. Whether you have stayed home and local, or you are traveling regionally, nationally or trans-nationally, we pray for your health, safety and times of refreshment and refueling.

The following is a brief update on all that we are working on together currently for your information and response …….

  • GOOD FRIDAY PRESENTATION – If you aren’t on Facebook, haven’t yet subscribed for free to our YouTube Channel or simply missed out for whatever reason on engaging with our Good Friday morning presentation, here is the link Good Friday 2022
  • EASTER SUNDAY –
    • 6am at Sandon Point Bulli with Alex, Graeme and the Combined Northern Illawarra Churches
    • THEN back at the Augusta Street East Corrimal NSW HUB from 10am for our Easter Sunday Presentation and Family Gathering in the room AND live-stream (see Facebook and YouTube)
  • THE GOOD CHOCOLATE EGG SCORECARD – if you are doing any last minute chocolate purchasing for the stockpile, here is the link to the 2022 Scorecard for chocolate that’s produced free of child labour, poverty, deforestation and is good for people and the planet.
  • BRIAN MEDWAY VISIT – Graeme has just confirmed that his human boss and mentor Brian Medway will drop in for a brief introductory visit in a couple of weekends time for HOPE College and to coincide with our Sunday 1st May 2022 gathering. There will be some work done on making it possible for different groups of people to have access to Brian at this time, so stay tuned for details about that. Meanwhile please be in prayer and note the date in your diaries for some highly engaging interaction about Kingdom of God rule, making ‘no name’ disciples who reproduce ‘no name’ disciples, apostolic fullness and function, and more ….. Brian is the Chair of the Crosslink Christian Network (now international), a key player in working for oneness across the kingdom, a renowned truth communicator, and a person that Graeme describes as having the deepest love of God in a human being that he knows of or has ever known. Join us if you have the opportunity.
  • HOPE COLLEGE – Student news communique coming soon! There’s been a bit going on 🙂
  • THE SANCTUARY ILLAWARRA – Our southern hub church plant is having a well earned break and time of reflection over Easter. Stay tuned to their their YouTube channel and or Facebook page for updates about what will follow Easter.
  • WEEKLY PASTORAL PRAYER UPDATE – We’ll get back to reporting more widely next week but for now just a reminder to pray for MANY of our church family who are traveling and getting some R&R, particularly Julie and Gary traveling to North QLD for a couple of weekends to support their daughter Jemma through some things (please be in prayer for Jemma); for June and her friend Mim; for Beverley and Ken’s daughter Diana and granddaughter Carys who weren’t able to join us with Nick, Adelaide and Eloise last Sunday due to being unwell; for Christine seeking prayer for wisdom and strength for her and her two sisters and the aged care consultants helping them care for their Mum in her own home, also for her family members who have been inundated with water during recent rains and their daughter with a broken arm. More next week ….
  • Please keep praying for all of the wonderful people connected with our church family as we stand together during this new season of the battle for souls. We thank God for His encouragement, His healing touch and His mercy, grace and protection.
  • Of course if you have any thing you feel confident to ask us to SHARE in prayer for, please call, send a text or email Gary Padwick if you know his contact details, otherwise via our Contact Us page. We can help connect you and Gary will faithfully engage our network (even as he can whilst away – please be patient).

Love & blessings
Graeme
